Case Successfully Completed – Betterfelt Stock Sale
The case concerned the sale of felted wool slippers – a total of 2,755 pairs, comprising 2,171 pairs for adults and 584 pairs for children.
Betterfelt is a Danish brand established in 2005. All slippers are hand-felted from 100% New Zealand wool at the company’s Fair Trade-certified production facility in Nepal. The products come with either suede soles or natural crepe rubber soles, suitable for outdoor use.
Betterfelt continues its business operations, but chose to liquidate the remaining stock following the closure of its two retail stores in Denmark.
The brand enjoys a strong reputation in Denmark, Germany, and the UK for its soft, breathable, and durable wool, which ensures long-lasting comfort and prevents odor.
Nearly all items were barcoded and tagged, and most pairs were individually packed in cotton bags. Approximately 80% of the stock was packed, with 20% unbagged (mainly items previously used for display).
The stock was stored in Denmark, and the entire sales process has now been successfully completed.
